The Soothe & Cool Protect Moisture Barrier Ointment that is made from petrolatum that is recommended to use when the skin is at risk but has not been compromised. It creates a barrier preventing moisture, urine and fecal matter from contacting skin. Vitamins A and D help feed the skin and the Aloe helps soothe the skin. It does not contain any dyes or fragrance that could irritate the skin. Unfortunately since we do not carry Desitin, we are unable to compare both products.
